Key features and benefits of the Bath full-time MBA

A top business school at a top ten university

By studying at Bath, you are joining one of the UK’s leading business schools and a top ten UK university (THE Table of Tables 2018).

Learn from leading faculty

You’ll learn from leading experts in their fields. We incorporate the latest thinking and research into the programme and the classroom, keeping our MBA fresh and relevant.

A small and diverse class

We keep our class size smaller than some other top MBA programmes. Our 2019/20 class has 52 students. A more intimate learning environment means more contact time with faculty and other students.

A mix of nationalities and a diverse range of backgrounds means you’ll get global classroom experience. Our 2019/20 class has students from 15 different countries.

Get a practical experience with a variety of project work

Project work develops skills that employers look for, and we focus on practice-based learning. You will complete five very different projects on your MBA.

Work with potential employers

You’ll get several chances to meet organisations and potential employers through:

  • project work
  • regular business speakers
  • company visits
  • an optional paid internship

Customise your MBA

With one-third of the programme dedicated to options, you can tailor your MBA to your personal interests. Study the subjects you need to make the Bath MBA your own with our wide range of options.

Employers want MBA graduates with well-developed leadership and management skills. Skills training forms an integral part of the Bath MBA.

Join a global network

Gain access to our global graduate network. You’ll be able to network with and get advice from more than 19,000 people in over 130 countries.

Full-time MBA programme content

The Bath MBA combines the latest teaching techniques with practical projects. You’ll be able to take what you learn in the classroom and apply it to real business situations.

Leadership and personal development forms the backbone of the Bath MBA. You’ll do an individual leadership project, and develop your personal skills through our programme of workshops.

Our Business in Context programme brings you together with business leaders and organisations. You’ll get great opportunities to network and build relationships through:

  • our guest speaker series
  • company visits
  • the Global Residency international study tour
  • an optional paid internship

Multi-project suite

Instead of doing a final project focusing on one topic, you’ll complete five different projects in our unique multi-project suite.

Our projects let you work on a range of business problems with a variety of organisations. Working in groups and alone, you'll immerse yourself in topics like entrepreneurship, change management and consulting.

The multi-project suite lets you apply what you've learned from your core and optional modules, and think creatively about solving real business challenges. It gives you:

  • improved research and consultancy skills
  • exposure to different types and sizes of organisation
  • real-world project work to add to your CV

"The multi-project suite is a big differentiator for Bath. Instead of just doing one big dissertation, we do five independent projects, providing a much broader experience. I have worked with three companies, ranging from a large corporate to a travel start-up and an award-winning app."
