The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates on the eastern side of the Arabian peninsula, at the entrance to the Persian Gulf. Sharjah is one of the emirates that form the United Arab Emirates hosting a population of about 800,000 inhabitants. It is ranked as the third largest emirate and the only to have land on the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. It has a host of universities within offering a variety of programs.
