Introduction
The Master includes an international experience in another European city, to know its business fabric, in addition to the necessary training for the acquisition of the scrum master certification. The cost is included in the price within the blended mode.
At CEF.- we have been teaching the Master in Business Administration and Management (MBA) for more than 20 years, training managers to improve their professional decision-making, and professionals to become managers. In 2021 we have launched a new plan that adapts to the new needs that have emerged in recent times in the business world.
The main objective of the MBA is to increase the training of attendees and strengthen their leadership skills, their ability to solve problems and their integration into work teams. In short, the training is aimed at people with managerial potential who have the challenge of assuming the management of companies or projects that involve knowledge of different functional areas of the company. Taking into account that there are business models that require a high degree of specialization, this master has five specialties. In them, apart from the general foundations of business management, they are trained in the specific aspects of the following organizational typologies:
- Specialty in Strategic Management of the Company
- Specialty in International Business Management
- Specialty in Tourism and Hotel Business Management
- Specialty in Business Management in the Clinical and Health Field
- Specialty in Technological Business Management
Official degree
Students who successfully complete the program and who also meet the UDIMA requirements receive a double degree: the Master's Degree in Business Management and Administration (MBA) from CEF.- and the University Master's Degree in Business Management and Administration (MBA). ) of the UDIMA.
Program Outcome
This master's degree has a marked interdisciplinary character and different training methods are combined: expository method, teamwork, case method and outdoor training, always aimed at obtaining a global vision of the different areas of the company.
A differential element of this program is the eminently practical approach to the content, both due to the fact that the teachers are overwhelmingly company managers who speak from their personal experience, and due to the intensive training in the famous soft skills: a Managers of the 21st century have to be able to make effective presentations, negotiate, make decisions under pressure, etc. In that sense, we can say that this Master provides comprehensive training that trains the student to become a prepared manager, not only to face the challenges they will face today, but also to know how to face change.
This is why within the master's degree we include seminars in which we not only learn the latest advances that are taking place in the market, but we also anticipate what is to come in the coming years: decision making through machine learning and big data, project management through the use of agile methodologies, the challenges presented by managing people in an increasingly uncertain environment.
Ideal Students
Addressed to
Due to its own characteristics, completing an MBA is very useful for any professional in the business field. However, it is very important to do it with professional profiles that are in the same stages of professional life.
This is why the CEF MBA has two types of profiles, which are grouped based on the characteristics of the student:
On the one hand, the Executive MBA (EMBA) modality is aimed at university graduates and professionals with a minimum of five years' experience, who occupy technical and management positions in the business or organizational environment and with the potential to occupy management positions.
The minimum age to be able to apply for access to the EMBA is 28 years.
This version of the program is taught on weekends (Friday afternoon and Saturday morning) to be able to combine it with professional activity. Taking into account that the students of this master's degree usually have great professional or personal responsibilities, every month there will be a weekend free from classes. The student will receive the complete calendar at the beginning of the program so that they can organize themselves with peace of mind.
On the other hand, those students who have a lower seniority can take the CEF MBA in its daily version. This version of the program is carried out on weekdays, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., so that students can join the professional market while they are studying the program.
Admissions
Curriculum
Each MBA subject is taught by a specialist in that area of the company. These are, for the most part, managers with experience in different sectors. In the program, unlike other business schools, we try to replicate the country's business fabric. In this sense, we have directors and managers from multinational companies and institutions from different sectors, but also from SMEs and startups.
The subjects are complemented with seminars and presentations focused on promoting the soft skills of the student (who will receive seminars on public speaking or negotiation, in addition to the scrum master certification). There are also managers and entrepreneurs from different types of companies and management models. In that sense, you will receive a visit from:
- Company founders.
- Second generation owners of family businesses.
- Entrepreneurs who have internationalized.
- Entrepreneurs who have had to close their project.
- Creators of startups and technology-based companies.
- Managers who have had to undertake digital transformation projects.
- Managers who have faced restructuring processes in the company.

Career Opportunities
The transversal nature of an EMBA, as well as the seniority of the students accepted into the program, means that the professional opportunities of the program are focused on obtaining positions of responsibility in the different departments of the organization.
At the CEF.- we make our Job and Entrepreneurs Exchange available to students.
Job Board
The Job and Entrepreneur Exchange is a free service offered to both students and alumni of CEF.- UDIMA as well as companies that wish to fill positions in different functional areas, with the aim of creating a mutual interrelation. It has offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia from which national and international offers are managed.
The Job and Entrepreneurs Exchange offers professional guidance and information for employment and is a magnificent source of recruiting professional profiles at any level of the company, from interns in training practices to senior profiles, including managers and technicians. To facilitate searches, it has its own employment and internship portal.
As an example of its projection, CEF.- UDIMA has signed more than 4,000 agreements with national and international collaborating companies from all business sectors.
In addition, we have individualized orientation sessions for the profiles that access the program, with the aim of maximizing the use of it by EMBA students.
Entrepreneurship
One of the natural outlets for professionals who complete an MBA is to undertake their own projects. This is why throughout the program activities are carried out that are aimed at promoting business creation:
- Advice on the necessary procedures for creating a company.
- Receiving visits from business owners.
- Implementation of a business plan.
- Training on how to present a project to obtain financing.
The entrepreneurship support service is not limited to the duration of the master's degree, but also continues through the CEF.-UDIMA Alumni Association.
