The Executive MBA in Business Innovation is a program designed for entrepreneurs, start-up founders, innovation managers, and those seeking a future in venture capital. It is aimed at individuals interested in exploring and learning how to assess the potential of new technologies, develop new business models, and accelerate technology transfer.
This MBA acts as a practical bridge between business, science, and research. It combines a solid foundation in General Management - typical of MBA programs - with a fluid Business Innovation edge, exploring deep tech-driven transformation. The program also offers in-depth insights into New Business Creation and the dynamics of Venture Capital.
Deep tech is the set of cutting-edge and disruptive technologies based on scientific discoveries, engineering, physics, and medicine, enabling a new cadre of business model innovation, the most powerful asset for steady growth.
Designed in a flexible part-time format over 2 years, EMBAIN is tailored to fit your personal and professional life. The program includes:
- 22 weekends in Milan
- 2 learning weeks in Trieste
- An online platform to interact with your classmates and trainers
An accredited MBA
The Executive MBA in Business Innovation is accredited by AMBA – Association of MBAs, the international certifying body that only accredits the leading 2% of the world's business schools with MBA programmes, focusing on impact, employability, and learning outcomes.
AMBA Accreditation denotes the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. In Italy only 4 schools can offer AMBA Accredited MBAs.

Curriculum
This is a cutting-edge program, designed to mesh with the intense work schedule of a successful business professional.
The program is based on four learning streams and a final project:
- General Management Core: Provides the foundational knowledge and skills of a traditional MBA program, including leadership, finance, and strategy.
- New Business Creation: Focuses on leveraging emerging technologies to create successful products and businesses.
- Venture Academy: Trains participants to assess, manage, and execute venture capital investments in early-stage companies.
- Deep Tech Business Models: Explores various business models and applications of Deep Tech technologies, such as AI, Lifesciences, Robotics, and the New Space Economy.
- Deep Tech Investment Proposal: Develop a detailed proposal for an investment in a Deep Tech-driven business, integrating the program's key learnings.
A Weekend Formula
The Executive MBA lasts 24 months:
Classes are held 2 weekends/month (1 online) and include 2 residential weeks (one at the opening and one at the closing).
Class locations:
- 14 weekend sessions in Milan.
- 8 weekend sessions online.
- 2 residential weeks at the MIB Trieste School of Management.
The part-time format allows you to continue advancing in your career while you study, in an innovative environment. MIB’s online platform will be a precious tool to keep in touch with lecturers and classmates, and to always stay updated with all teaching materials.
The Phi-gital Experience
Evolutionary Program
- EMBAIN pedagogic model is both physical and digital.
- Learning in Presence - 100% of the structured content of the MBA is delivered in person with the richness of the classroom experience.
- Operating Online - the curriculum is largely based on teams' online action research using Online Collaboration Tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Citryx Go To Meeting, etc.)
The constant interaction among participant’s teams and lecturers will make program contents naturally evolve in line with the business environment, keeping contact with the state of the art of the technologies, along the whole length of the MBA.

Amount Awarded: € 7.000
Open to: successful Executive MBA female applicants. The aim of the scholarship is to support female candidates of merit and to encourage female managerial development and participation in responsible roles in the global business community.

Amount Awarded: € 7.000
Open to: successful Executive MBA applicants residing 500 km+ away from Milan.
The aim of the scholarships is to facilitate the participation of those who live far from the Executive MBA headquarters.

Corporate Discounts
When registering more participants from the same organization:
- 10% tuition discount for 2 participants;
- 20% tuition discount for 3 participants;
- 30% tuition discount for 4+ participants or more.
